United Methodist Women

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative‚ supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

UMW meets on the third Thursday of each month in the church Fellowship Hall at 6:30 p.m. except in the summer months and December. UMW Day is celebrated once a year in conjunction with WNL (Wednesday Night Live). Our meetings are a time of fellowship, education‚ and sharing concerns for each other‚ our local church‚ and both our local and global missions.

The local unit of the UMW is very involved in local and global missions. In addition to individual giving‚ our main fundraiser to support our missions each year has been the UMW Yard Sale held almost every year just before school starts in early August.

Some members are working on a prayer shawl ministry. If you want to join this ministry‚ contact any member.

Membership is open to all ages and interests.
